Schwarze Meer

Submarine (Kacha). Wreck. Balaklava.

In the vicinity of Kacha settlement, a Soviet submarine of “Malyutka” (“Mite”) class lies on the even sea bottom. It sunk during the WWII, and after a lapse of decades practically two-thirds of its hull, lying at the depth of 43 m, are stuck in sand. That is why it is impossible to get inside it, but having a view of this submarine from outside will seem quite interesting for you.

You will have a look at the 65-meter hull caught in fishing nets, empty boxes and a memorial plate fixed to the deckhouse of the sunken vessel. Depending on sea current visibility here may be from 3 to 10 m.
